Dr. Laura Jensen provides treatment of adults using both short- and long-term psychoanalytic and behavioral modalities. She is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Her specialty diagnostic areas are personality disorders; mood disorders; psychotic disorders; and trauma. She brings extensive experience in neuropsychological, IQ and cognitive function, and vocational testing of adults and adolescents, and neuropsychological, IQ and cognitive function assessment and treatment of children.
Dr. Jensen has worked with Traumatic Brain Injury at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, (now the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System) while on both a general psychiatric and a specialized inpatient PTSD unit and later with veterans at the VA Hospital in Topeka, Kansas, (now the VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System) where she administered the Benton neuropsychological screening test assessing potential brain trauma and the Bender Visual-Motor Gestalt test.
Dr. Jensen now teaches neuroanatomy to Doctoral and Post-Doctoral trainees in the practice of Stephanie Holland, LTD. She also teaches a class in traumatic brain injury that covers symptom identification and assessment measures. Dr. Jensen is certified to administer, score, and interpret the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA).
